Amazing, caring, compassionate! I can't begin to tell you about this wonderful practice of caring and compassionate Doctors and staff. We have been with Exeter Veterinary Hospital for over 25 years with 4 cats and two dogs. We've been through it all with them and couldn't be happier with the entire team. There have been times when Doctors Hill, Bassett, and MacClinchy have called after hours to report or discuss results of tests and even on the busiest days, they make you feel that your pet is priority. The office staff is friendly and efficient and the employee retention says a lot about the providers. Today, I had the daunting task of accompanying my 90 year old mother to EVH to put down her 15 year old cat. Dr. Bassett was so kind and patient with my mom and helped her to make the final decision to let her baby go in peace. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for top notch, compassionate care!

I have been going to Exeter Veterinary Hospital for my pets since I was a child...back when they made house calls for all our animals. I trust them completely with our pets and know they will tell me truthfully what is needed for treatment and they care for our pets like they are their own. I love all the veterinarians and vet techs in the practice. They truly care about animals and share in our grief when we had to say goodbye to a few of our fur babies over the years.

We started looking for a new vet about five years ago when our former vets affiliated with VCA and their prices got outrageous. A couple of friends strongly recommended Exeter and we have been very pleased with the choice. We have had positive experiences with all three vets on staff, most of all with Dr. Hill who cared for our beloved golden retriever when he was diagnosed with leukemia and eventually had to be euthanized. It was a painful process to go through but everyone there was incredibly compassionate and understanding.

My cat has been going to Exeter Vet for almost 17 years. She's an older kitty and has lived a happy and long live so far (a lot of thanks to the care and love the Exeter Vet has given her!). Big shout out to Dr. Basset. He's so kind and caring, especially with cats. He knows what he's talking about and really invests in making sure he's taking the right actions and precautions when it comes to understanding what her symptoms are (especially recently). He doesn't do anything that he's not confident about, and I actually think my cat enjoys going to the vet to see him! Highly recommend this practice.

I can’t express enough how much this practice has meant to me. Everyone has always made me feel so at ease whenever I have a worry about my sweet Jack. They take EXCEPTIONAL care of him when he’s seen and are always beyond caring. Dr. MacClinchy called me while she was away on vacation to discuss Jack’s 4th of July anxiety. Never in a million years would I expect this kind of customer service. I can’t recommend Exeter Veterinary enough!!! Thank you for all you do!!!

My cat Arya has very bad teeth and had to get 9 teeth extracted. She was always extremely lethargic and slept all the time. The staff here was timely, organized, kind, and took great care of my kitty. She is acting like a brand new cat, she is running all over the place, head-butting me, eating, and wants to play with her sister. I can’t thank this place and everyone who works here enough. I am so thankful that I chose this vet hospital years ago!!! Thank you.

They are lovely people here. Always take great care of my animals. My parents have been bringing their dog here for years, and my wife and I recently moved here and started bringing our cats. Our cats have always been taken care of very well, and the staff is incredibly helpful and great. Bring your animals here if you need them to be well taken care of.

We recently took our dog to Exeter Veterinary Hospital for her spaying, and couldn’t be happier with the care she received. From the initial consultation to the post-op instructions, the staff were kind, professional, and incredibly reassuring. The surgery went smoothly, and two days later, she’s already bouncing back to her usual happy self. It's clear that she was in very capable hands. Thank you to the entire team for looking after her so well. We highly recommend for anyone looking for top-quality care for their pets.

I have been going to this vet for a long time and would not go anywhere else. Veterinarians Steven Bassett and Lauren Hill have both worked with me and my cats in a way that made me feel like I was not rushed, being pushed to do any tests that aren’t necessary at the time, they have made emergencies feel like they are treating their own family pets. I have never found this anywhere else. They call when they say and worry about me as well as my pets. This is what 5 star veterinary practice does. Thank you. EDIT: I have had no problems with the office staff. They have been nothing but kind and understanding! I think there might have been a change of staff or some sort of training, but things are much smoother now. I’d like to add that one of my cats had a fever of unknown origin and Dr. Hill spent the time treating her like it was her own cat, she also made sure I was okay. I’ve never seen such empathy in a veterinarian like that before. When my cat was healthy again it was like she was celebrating with me. Now, years later, one of my cats is in the first stages of CKD. I’m thankful he’s treated here.

Exeter Veterinary Hospital provides wonderful care and service to its patients. The staff were very pleasant, easy and yet professional. Dr. Hill gave me straight talk about Brie, didn’t try to talk me into unnecessary tests. She used her thumbnail to remove the tarter scale on both sides of her teeth. Brie was calm the whole time. A nail clipping to all her paws completed our visit. I am very grateful. Thanks Dr. Hill and Staff.
